ONLINE LEGAL BOOKKEEPING COURSE The Legal Bookkeeping course is based on how to do legal bookkeeping using the South African Legal Accounting Rules.
The learning is structured in both practical and theory. There are twelve (12) modules which we will work through together. Recording various types of transactions eg, client accounts, matter accounts, fees, vat, correspondents, conveyancing transactions, Trust to business transfers, various types of reporting, and the methods of dealing with Trust accounts interest and clients interest.
This is a useful course if: You are thinking of working in a legal firm You are going for jobs which have a requirement for you to know about the legal accounting rules
 You want to put this skill on your CV, or
 You are a bookkeeper or an accountant and are thinking of taking on legal clients
 You are a bookkeeper and want to 'get into' legal accounting.
 Students who are going for jobs where the requirement is to know about the legal accounting rules. The course will take about 3 weeks to complete and is relevant to the SA market. There is an examination at the end of the course and a pass mark of 50% is required in order to obtain the certificate. Who this course is for:

 Those who have studied accounting, but want specifically to know about accounting in law firms What you'll learn
 By the end of the course you will have a better understanding and grasp of the bookkeeping function within a law firm.
Classes are Monday to Friday an hour per class per day. First morning class starts at 09h00 and the last class at 16h00. There is a special class arrangement for those who wish to sign up for the evening class at 17h30.
